F A Q

Below you will find answers to other questions about the Student Union

HOW OFTEN DO YOU MEET?

On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, the board meets for board meetings. There we can discuss requests (A request is a financial support that can be applied for by educational associations and interest associations that are approved by the Student Union in Sundsvall), various events, if any other information has been added and student representatives. We also have membership meetings and annual meetings every year!

HOW DO I JOIN THE BOARD?

To join the board, you need to come to either a membership meeting or an annual meeting. If it is a by-election, you are warmly welcome to run on the spot, if it is an annual meeting, you have the chance to nominate yourself and talk to the nomination committee.

DO I NEED TO BE A MEMBER TO TAKE PART IN STUDENT UNION ACTIVITIES?

If there are member/annual meetings, you are entitled to participate without being a member, but you may not have any voting rights. If there are activities such as a sausage barbecue, all students are welcome.

WHAT DOES A MEMBERSHIP COST?

A membership with SKS costs SEK 250 for one semester and SEK 400 for two semesters. For distance students it is 125kr per semester instead!

WHY SHOULD I BE A MEMBER OF A STUDENT UNION?

In addition to organizing common activities, such as parties, nature experiences, pub nights and kick-ins - all the fun things that contribute to a more pleasant social life during your time as a student - we also work carefully with student influence

and education monitoring. We are there for you like a trade union during your studies and if you have any problems during your studies, you can always turn to us and we will do what we can to solve the problem!
