STUDENT HOUSING

In Sundsvall, there are two providers of student housing:

Mitthem and K2A

Midhem

Sundsvall municipality provides a housing guarantee for newly admitted full-time students at Mid Sweden University Campus Sundsvall. To be covered by the housing guarantee, you must be registered outside Sundsvall and Timrå municipality when you apply for student housing. Together with other housing companies, Mitthem helps all new students to get a home. After the housing guarantee for campus students, other students may apply for an apartment:

Distance learning students
Accommodation within Sundsvall
Current students
University of Applied Sciences students

The housing guarantee applies before the start of each new semester at university, from the same date as the first admission notice goes out and until two weeks after the second admission. Click here for more info on how to become a tenant with Mitthem!

K2A

Kvalster.se is a simple and quick tool for finding a vacant apartment. The site cooperates with all web-based marketplaces for available rental housing. Kvalster.se is completely free for housing seekers to use.

The site was launched in 2008 and right now there are about 30,000 vacant apartments throughout the country, making Kvalster.se the largest search engine for rental apartments in Sweden.

With over 400 student residences, you have a good chance of getting a student residence at K2A. Here you can find more info about the housing areas that K2A in Sundsvall offers.

To make an expression of interest, simply log in to My Pages via the button in the top menu and select "For applicants". Here you log in with either Bank ID or your social security number and the password we have sent you by email.

From the age of 16, you can join the queue for K2A student accommodation, even if you don't know where you will be studying. The advantage of a single queue is that you can get an apartment no matter where you get in!

If you are in our housing queue, you must update your place in the queue at least once a year. If you haven't logged in for a while, you can do so here.
