Application open for scholarship program in London

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the UK is pleased to announce that applications are now open for their scholarship program The scholarship is for those students finishing their studies in the spring and looking for a unique opportunity to kick-start their career with international work experience in London.

The Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program gives creative and driven young talents the opportunity to work with them in London for one year. During the year, the fellows receive:

- Work in close collaboration with their 470+ member companies, focusing on running projects in specific sectors.

- Lead and coordinate activities such as sector-specific conferences, SME programs and other networking events.

- Contribute to the strategic objectives of the organization by developing new initiatives and strengthening our network.

- Gain practical experience working in an international environment and build long-lasting professional relationships.

 

Qualifications
The program is aimed at students who are studying or have recently completed studies in business-related subjects such as economics, management, communication or events at bachelor's or master's level at Swedish universities and colleges.

PAUSE Scholarship 2025 - apply now!

The PAUSE Foundation is now announcing Sweden's largest scholarship in HR and leadership.
The scholarship of SEK 100,000 is intended for international studies and experiences
that contribute to personal development and spread knowledge in the field.

The 2025 scholarship is intended for those who want to study the following subject:

- Leading without barriers: individual capacity at the heart of organizational success

If you have a completed or ongoing university degree, please apply as soon as possible and no later than March 1, 2025.

Short facts about the PAUSE Foundation
The PAUSE Foundation (Personnel Management Abroad by University Studies and Experience) awards Sweden's largest scholarship for international studies in HR and leadership. The aim is to contribute to the scholarship holder's own development and to spread knowledge in the field to other interested parties. Since 1982, 48 scholarships have been awarded.

Call for Japan Scholarships for the year 2025

1st Scandinavia - Japan Sasakawa Foundation (SJSF)

The Swedish section of the foundation offers grants and scholarships for research and studies in Japan, to promote exchange between Japan and Sweden.

- Subjects: research or education in the natural sciences, engineering, medicine, social sciences, economics, humanities (including Japanese) and journalism.
- Eligible applicants: organizations, institutions and individuals. The applicant must have a permanent connection to Sweden.
- Stay in Japan: from 1 week to 1 year, from April 2025 to March 2026.

2. Sweden - Japan Foundation (SJF)

The Sweden-Japan Foundation offers scholarships for study, research, thesis and internship at university level in Japan. The stay in Japan must be longer than three (3) months.

- Subjects: studies in engineering, science, economics, law, medicine and business.
- Eligible applicants: students and young researchers from all universities and colleges in Sweden. The applicant must have a permanent connection to Sweden.
- Duration of stay in Japan: from 3 months to 1 year, from April 2025 to March 2026.

The Hans Werthén Scholarship

Hans Werthén Scholarship

Hans Werthén was a results-oriented innovator both as an engineer and a business leader. The scholarships that bear his name aim to give young academics the opportunity to develop in other countries and return with new knowledge and experience that can be useful in industry, business or academia in Sweden.

Since the Hans Werthén Foundation was established in 1990, a total of 511 scholarships have been awarded with a total value of approximately SEK 61 million. The scholarship is for one year of scientific work at post-doctoral or doctoral level, MBA or LL.M. studies in a qualified international environment.

The scholarship is worth between SEK 100 000 and 400 000 and applicants are generally around 25-35 years old. Applicants should have an academic degree, preferably at least at Master's level but preferably a PhD, preferably in the fields of engineering/science or economics/law.

A Board of Trustees appoints scholarship recipients. The members of the Board are Marcus Wallenberg (Chairman), Marianne Feledy Werthén, Sara Mazur, Hans Stråberg, Carl-Henric Svanberg, Astrid Söderbergh Widding and Victoria Van Camp, and the alternate Magnus Breidne (Principal Secretary).
